family, he
has grown up with his four sisters (Sharda,
Sapna, Minu & Gayatri), because
of his father's frequent job transfer, the entire family moved
to Siliguri (West Bengal) in the year 2000.
Right since his school days, little Shaam was inclined towards
music. He is highly inspired by his father who is a very talented
man, who plays many musical instruments not as a profession
but as a hobby out of pure love for music. Shaam's interest
towards music was developed right since he was a child as
his hole family is musically inclined. His mother has been
a great dancer and singer and his four sisters are good singers
and dancers as well.
During his school days in Assam, he has participated in several
music competitions. He is heavily influenced by western music
like Blues, Rock, Country etc. His favourite artists or band
include Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden), Richard Marx, Eagles,
Van Halen, Santana, Mark Antony, Blue,911, Brian McKnight
and many others. His love for rock music made him join a rock
band "SRISHTI" as a
drummer and a vocalist. He has been to many states for various
concerts and music programmes.
Though he loves singing, he has been more passionate about
composing music. He has already composed music for a Nepali
pop album "KOSHISH"
for a Nepali band from Gangtok (Sikkim).
In order to achieve his dream of becoming a good singer and
composer, he went to Kolkatta to learn Indian Classical music
for one year from Mrs. Arpita
Chatterjee (Trilokya Sangeet Mahavidyalaya).
After that he came to Mumbai, four years back and so began
his struggle for success. In order to groom himself, he took
acting classes from Prof. Roshan
Taneja. He has performed and sung in various
concerts, shows and hotels like Holiday Inn. He loves playing
guitar and drums and that is what he does during his leisure
hours.
KHAMOSHI "the silent journey"
is his debut indipop album and all the songs are composed
and sung by himself. Music is an antidote for everybody, be
it for a person who has just fallen in love or for a person
who has had a heartbreak.
Music heals every pain. Music is a best envoy to convey our
emotion and love. As the little suggests, this album is just
for those people who can never express their love to their
beloved.
There are 8 soundtracks with different kind of songs, you'll
find slow romantic nos. like Khamoshi,
Aao naa, Dil dewana and fast nos. like Mere
sang, Aa janemaan and Khamoshi (Remix), Tumse ye wada (Hip
Hop & Acoustic Version). The title song
and the video Khamoshi will remind you of your first love
when you were in school. Its a very beautiful video. It'll
touch your heart and of course it'll make you feel happy.
He's already working on his next untitled Indipop &
English music album. |
